He is single. Father Earl Baze and mother Cammie are former jockeys while his second cousin Russel, who lives in Northern California, is in racing's Hall of Fame. His uncle Gary Baze - the all time leading jockey in Washington - still rides horses in different racetracks. Russel's brother Dale used to ride in different horseracing circuits but retired as grew old. His cousin Michael C. Baze is working as an apprentice in New Jersey and New York.

Tyler Baze is an American jockey, who began riding in South California in 1999 and registered his first winning title on October 31st on the same year. In the next year, Tyler Baze rode two hundred and forty six winners and was aptly voted the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Apprentice Jockey. During 2003, Tyler Baze had a rough patch but recovered immediately with a new agent and new technique that brought him back again to the top of the game. After recovering from his dark patch, Tyler Baze once again came back to the winning track.
