Ricky Frazier learned riding horses from his father Roy Frazier, who was a jockey and later a trainer at Louisiana Downs. To get license of riding, Ricky went to Churchill Downs and then returned to Louisiana Downs. After that he rode in Southern and Northern California, Kentucky and Chicago. Ricky is now residing in the Northwest and has registered win at the Emerald Downs in 2007. Since his debut he has earned many winning titles under his belt – he has set a single season record of 157 wins in 2007 Emerald Downs. It was on November 17, 2007 at Turf Paradise - Ricky completed his 3000th career win. The dream came true for Ricky when he had his first Breeders’ Cup mount in 2007 with Washington-bred Smarty Deb. He finished fifth in that Juvenile Fillies.
