Notes: Kiaran McLaughlin got interest in horseracin g from his friend Greg, who was son of the famous Thoroughbr ed farm operator Greg Burchell. Before beginning his tour with Lukas in 1985, McLaughlin spent two years for Burchell followed by eight months and a year with Hennig, Casse, Kassen and Muckler. He assisted trainers James Burchell, John Hennig, Mark Casse, Dave Kassen and Tim Muckler before joining the D. Wayne Lukas stable in January 1985. To become the agent for jockey Chris Antley, Lukas left the job Thoroughbr ed farming in February 1992. In 1993 he became the trainer for Sheikh Mohammed al Maktoum in Dubai to clinch three training titles at Nad Al Sheba Race Course in Dubai--199 4-95, 1995-96 and 2002-03. His Dumaani brought him titles from Keio Hai Spring Cup, Keeneland Breeders\' Cup in 1995 and 1996. Returning to the United States, McLaughlin opened a public stable in New York with 18 horses.
