Chris Block is a race horse trainer. He pursued his graduation in equine management at Parkland Junior College located in Champaign, Illinois. His family business revolved around breeding and racing horses for 40 years. At a young age Chris Block was passionate about horses. He knew he would get involved in racing. He worked as a jockey for Bill mott stable for a period of 3 seasons. In 1989 he got hold of his training license. In 1990 he trained at Kentucky Training Center afterwhich he purchased 6 horses. Currently, the number of horses has risen to 40. Horses race at tracks in Chicago. Chris Block is considered to be among the top five trainers at Arlington Park. In the year 2008, his stable stood second with 32 victories in all. In October 2005,he was the winner of 44 races from 213 starts with total earnings of $1,368,960 . Chris Block always believed in Illinois-b reds and take pride in training them. The family owns a 40-acre farm in Philo, where the babies are foaled along with a 85-acre farm in Ocala. The family also has some Florida-br eds and have bred many popular winners like Mystery Giver, Fort Prado and Ioya Two.
