He attended a jockey’s apprentice school in his native country – France. He emigrated to the United States’ horse racing circuit along with his trainer Ben Cecil in October 1993 and settled in Southern California. He raced at Del Mar Racetrack and Santa Anita in his initial years but also won races at various other North American Racetracks including Arlington Park in Chicago, Gulfstream Park in Florida and Woodbine racetrack in Toronto, Canada. He continued racing in California for ten years and then moved to Kentucky. Until 2006, Brice rode in Kentucky and returned to the West Coast. |
