Bethenny is his daughter from a previous marriage. Notes: Bobby Frankel started career as horse-walk er at Belmont Park and then at Aqueduct during the mid-1960s. He started training in New York from 1966 and set his first win with Double Dash at Aqueduct in the same year. In 1995, Bobby was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and the Hall of Fame. In his techniques , he is a close follower of the great trainer Charlie Whittingha m. He was given a number of awards and recognitio ns that includes- Eclipse Awards, year-end horse racing awards for being an outstandin g horse trainer. Some of the horses that he trained are- Squirtle Squirt, Skimming, Sightseek anhd Ogden Phipps Handicap and Empire Maker. Ghostzappe r, the winner of the Breeder's Cup Classic was voted as the 2004 Horse of the Year in Eclipse Award. Frankel won the Triple Crown in 2003 with Empire Maker in the Belmont Stakes. Bobby ranked third nationally through December 31, 2006. |
