Notes:
Since his childhood days Allen wished to become a jockey but grew too big to ride horse. Taking out license in 1950, Jerkens started grooming horses under Larry Gottlieb. He was awarded 1973 Eclipse Award for his noticeable performanc e as trainer. Jerkens was elected to the Hall of Fame of the National Museum of Racing in 1975 and registered his name in the list of five-time winner of the New York Turf Writers Associatio n̢۪s award.

Facts
Allen trained Sky Beauty, who took New York̢۪s Triple Tiara races in 1993 and posted win in the 1998 Jockey Club Gold Cup with Wagon Limit. Some important stakes winners include Caress, Classy Mirage, Devil His Due, Dixie Flag, Kelly Kip, Missy̢۪s Mirage, November Snow, Passing Shot, Sensitive Prince, Shine Again, Society Selection and Virginia Rapids.
