Interactif gives Pletcher a shot at the Belmont
June 1, 2010NEW YORK (AP) -The expected field for the Belmont Stakes has increased to 12 with trainer Todd Pletcher's announcement that he will enter Interactif in Saturday's final leg of the Triple Crown.
Pletcher was considering entering the 3-year-old colt in a stakes race Friday, but decided to ``call an audible'' Monday after looking over the other Belmont entries.
The Belmont will be run without Pletcher's Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver. Preakness winner Lookin At Lucky also will miss the race.
Derby runner-up Ice Box and Preakness runner-up First Dude will be among the favorites.
Javier Castellano will be aboard Interactif, who finished fourth in the Blue Grass at Keeneland in April in his last start.
