Working Capital wins at Hollywood Park
May 28, 2010INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) -Working Capital defeated Lions Story by a nose to win the $52,320 feature at Hollywood Park on Thursday.
Ridden by Joel Rosario, Working Capital ran 1 1-16 miles in 1:43.20 and paid $8.40, $3.80 and $2.80. Lions Story returned $3.20 and $2.40 as the 17-10 favorite. Deputy Max was another 1 1/2 lengths back in third and paid $2.60 to show.
It was the second victory in eight career starts for Working Capital, who has earned $92,040. He was claimed for $40,000 on March 13, and has earned $75,780 since then.
Rosario also won the fifth race. Rafael Bejarano rode two winners on the card to lead the jockeys' standings.
