Cagey Girl wins Belmont feature
May 28, 2010NEW YORK (AP) -Cagey Girl posted a front-running victory Thursday in the $41,000 allowance feature for New York-bred fillies and mares on the turf at Belmont Park.
She rolled to a 4-length win over Exonerated in her debut for trainer Steve Asmussen. The 6-year-old was claimed for $35,000 in her last start, a win at Aqueduct on April 14. Cornelio Velasquez was aboard as Cagey Girl ran the 1 1-16 miles in 1:40.92 for her seventh win in 35 starts.
Cagey Girl paid $7.50, $6.20 and $3.50. Exonerated returned $10.60 and $4.50. Ambidaxtrous paid $2.40 to show.
