Protesting wins Belmont feature
May 14, 2010NEW YORK (AP) -Protesting rallied to beat Senada by a neck Thursday in the $53,000 allowance feature for 3-year-old fillies on the turf at Belmont Park.
In her first start on grass, Protesting ranged into contention with a six-wide move on the final turn. She had the best momentum through the lane, gettting up for her second win in nine races. Javier Castellano was aboard for trainer Shug McGaughey as she ran the 1 1-16 miles in 1:42.74 over the course rated good.
The 9-5 favorite, Protesting paid $5.60, $3.70 and $3. Senada returned $5.80 and $3.80. Vee paid $3.20 to show.
