Flat Bold wins Belmont feature
May 10, 2010NEW YORK (AP) -Flat Bold made a victorious comeback from a seven-month layoff, holding off Imperial Council by a half-length Sunday in the $55,000 allowance feature at Belmont Park.
The 4-year-old led all the way in his first race since finishing last in the Indiana Derby on Oct 3. Rajiv Maragh was aboard for trainer Tom Albertrani as Flat Bold improved to 3 for 11, paying $13.60, $7.10 and $4.20. Imperial Council returned $3.80 and $2.80 as the 2-1 favorite, while Masala paid $3.20 to show.
