Concord Point wins Santa Anita feature
April 15, 2010ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) -Concord Point won Wednesday's $46,676 feature for 3-year-olds by 1 1/4 lengths at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Martin Garcia, Concord Point ran 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:15.38 while racing without blinkers for the first time in three starts for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert. It was Garcia's third winner on the card.
Concord Point paid $6, $4.40 and $2.60. Royce returned $10 and $4. Lions Story was another nose back in third and paid $2.20 to show.
The victory, worth $27,600, increased Concord Point's career earnings to $56,760.
