Havana to stand in The Philippines
December 17, 2015Grade 1 winner Havana will begin his stud career in The Philippines at Rancho Santa Rosa in Quezon City. The 4-year-old son of Dunkirk finished his on-track career with two wins in seven career starts, including a victory in the Grade 1 Champagne Stakes. He also finished second in the 2013 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile during a campaign in which he finished as an Eclipse Award finalist for champion 2-year-old male.

Clarke Racing Stable, Havana is out of the winning Kyle’s Our Man mare Missy Turtle, whose five winners from seven foals to race also includes stakes-placed Among the Willows. He is from the family of Grade 2-placed stakes winner Egg Head and stakes winners Redding Ridge and Chief J Strongbow. Havana joins Grade 2-placed stakes winner Brigand and Australian-bred Warbird on the Rancho Santa Rosa stallion roster.
