Balmoral Nov 13 analysis

Race 1

In a very suspect field (5) FOX VALLEY MISO comes off a decent effort closing up nicely and keeps the top driver. (3) YO-ZURI was used aggressively last out racing well. A repeat of that effort puts his nose on the wire. (8) MR MATLOCK two-year-old makes his career debut off a decent qualifier and finds a very bad field.

Race 2

(5) GOTTALUVAREDHEAD freshman trotter looked to be home free showing a good burst of speed before tiring late and faces easier; adds first time lasix. (9) MONTICELLO LULU mare has the fastest win time on the year but needs to leave for position for his best chance. (7) AGENT BOOTH gelding was forced wide at the top of the stretch last out and has flashed some ability.

Race 3

(2) IMNOTASONOFABEACH nice-looking filly comes off a scratch but looks to have the most ability in the field. (5) MIGHTY OAKS MISTY lightly raced filly makes her third career start and picks up a huge driver change. (6) A TANGIBLE LEASE filly has quit badly in her last two but was racing gamely in higher classes a few starts ago.

Race 4

(5) WESTERN BOUDOIR just missed to some really sharp horses last out that would be huge favorites in this field. (2) SEEYOUATTHEFINISH has a little hitch in her gait and the filly has a tough time on anything but a fast track; play accordingly. (7) FULL SERVICE well bred filly makes her third start off a layoff and is one of the faster horses in the race.

Race 5

(8) MACK'S GOLD BAND raced well last out in a stake race at Maywood. The trotter has been knocking on the door and finds a great spot to do some damage. (10) FALL CREEK BANDIT was full of trot late last out, but had nowhere to go until it was too late. The top driver opted off which should boost the price if he hits the ticket. (1) AMERICAN EMPRESS raced gamely last out and gets a great post for another ground-saving trip.

Race 6

(7) RYLEIGH‘S LILLY filly raced huge last out coming first over against a really sharp opponent. (1) JUSTHAVENTMETUYET was a new horse last out for new connections and could be the horse to beat. (6) ROCK GROUPIE well bred filly has been a huge disappointment. The 2-year-old has some talent but always lacks something late.

Race 7

(7) MARTZ CREEK PERRY has a bunch of positives going for him despite the provisional driver. The 3-year-old Indiana bred made up a ton of ground from a tough post first over and adds second time lasix. (8) LOVEDANCINWITHYOU gelding has some upside and comes off an easy victory. (5) A C H S has good gate speed and keeps the top driver.

Race 8

(3) CLEVER UPSTART gelding finds and inconsistent field and just needs a smooth trip to hit the board. (7) FOX VALLEY ARROW raced evenly last out on the sloppy track but was sharp the start before. (8) NEW ZION well bred trotter could use fast fractions to close into for his best chance.

Race 9

In a field with few contenders (2) LOVERS HOLIDAY is the best closer in the race and should be much closer turning for home. (7) FOUR HOUR NAP filly just missed at Maywood last out and is reunited with a red-hot top pilot. (1) DOCTOR SHERRY mare draws the rail and should save some ground before shaking loose late.

Race 10

(6) LUCKY PETERSON was unstoppable last out after a ton of breaking issues and the gelding could have more to offer. (7) ELKHORN DAMIEN probably should be considered the horse to beat and has dominated this class. (3) COME N BET IT drops down and faces much easier; fires late.
