Breeders' Cup 2014 to be held at Santa Anita

Santa Anita becomes the first track to play host to the Breeders' Cup for three consecutive years. Santa Anita has hosted the event six times previously, not including this year's event, so next year would mark the eighth time in 31 editions of the Breeders' Cup that it will be held at Santa Anita.
The 2014 event will be held Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, the Breeders' Cup announced. Those dates were recently assigned to Santa Anita's 2014 fall meeting by the California Horse Racing Board.
The Arcadia, Calif., track has hosted the event in 1986, 1993, 2003, 2008, 2009, and 2012.
