Originally scheduled for the turf with 14 entrants, the race was switched to the muddy main track and only four contested the seven-furlong race. The betting interests dwindled to three when Belle of the Hall was mistakenly announced as a scratch. As a result, the 5-year-old trained by Tom Albertrani and ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. was eliminated from the wagering, and ran for purse money only. The victory was her sixth in 22 starts.
With Belle of the Hall barred from the betting, Agave Kiss was the pari-mutuel winner, paying $4.20. There was no place or show betting.
The time was 1:23.55.
