Tilde wins Generous Portion Stakes at Del Mar
August 29, 2012DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) - Tilde beat Awe'Some Kitten by three-quarters of a length Wednesday in the $150,000 Generous Portion Stakes for California-bred 2-year-old fillies at Del Mar.
Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Tilde ran six furlongs in 1:11.42 and paid $5.20, $3.40 and $2.60 as the 8-5 favorite for breeder-owner-trainer Mike Harrington. Bejarano earned his 11th stakes win at the seaside track.
Awe'Some Kitten returned $15.20 and $8.80 at 19-1 odds, while Boller Bomb was another 1 1/4 lengths back in third and paid $3.60 to show.
The victory, worth $85,500, increased Tilde's career earnings to $195,060, with three wins in four starts. She won the C.T.B.A. Stakes at Del Mar in her previous start.
