Ridden by Paco Lopez, Corinthian's Jewel ran 1 1/8 miles on the turf in 1:48.2. The George Weaver-trained 3-year-old returned $8.60, $4.20 and $2.80 in winning his second straight race.
Unbroken paid $7.40 and $3.40. It was another 1 3/4 lengths back to favored Star Channel, who paid $2.10 to show.
``I asked him for his run at the three-eighths pole and he really took off,'' Lopez said. ``I saw Joe (Bravo, on Star Channel) beginning to put pressure on Crafty Unicorn and that's when I went. This horse finished very strong today. He was impressive.''
