Boisterous is favorite for Arlington Million
August 15, 2012ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (AP) - Boisterous has been made the 4-1 favorite in a field of 11 for Saturday's Arlington Million.
The 5-year-old horse comes into the 1 1/4-mile Grade 1 turf race off a second-place finish in the Arlington Handicap.
Owned by Phipps Stables, Boisterous drew the No. 2 post Wednesday. He will be ridden by Jose Lezcano.
Crackerjack King, one of five horses from Europe in the field, is the second choice at 5-1. Afsare, Treasure Beach and Little Mike are all 6-1.
Rahystrada, Colombian, Willcox Inn, Wigmore Hill, Cherokee Lord and Vertiformer also were entered.
In other Grade 1 races on the card, Marketing Mix is the 3-1 favorite in a 10-horse field for the $750,000 Beverly D, and Silver Max is the 9-5 choice in an eight-horse field for the $500,000 Secretariat.
