SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) - A federal prosecutor in Puerto Rico says a prominent jockey has been arrested on charges of failing to pay thousands of dollars in child support for two of his children.

Julio Garcia is accused of owing more than $165,000 for support of two 16-year-old children.

U.S. Attorney Rosa Emilia Rodriguez said Tuesday that Garcia was arrested the night before at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey.

Garcia recently won the Lexington Stakes.
