Rachel Alexandra in foal with filly
June 23, 2012LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Rachel Alexandra, the 2009 Horse of the Year who gave birth to her first foal in January, is expecting again.
Stonestreet Farm announced the news in a tweet Saturday: ``IT'S A GIRL!!!!''
The tweet says Rachel is in foal to Bernardini with a filly.
Rachel had a bay colt in January after being bred to two-time Horse of the Year Curlin.
Rachel was the first filly in 85 years to win the Preakness in 2009. She finished with 13 wins and five second-place finishes in 19 starts.
