I Bet Toni Knows and King Kreesa win stakes
June 3, 2012NEW YORK (AP) - I Bet Toni Knows and King Kreesa won the $75,000 divisions of the New York Stallion Stakes for 3-year-olds on the turf at Belmont Park.
I Bet Toni Knows rallied from eighth to beat Stock Fund by three-quarters of a length in the Cupecoy's Joy for fillies. Junior Alvarado rode for trainer Eric Reed as I Bet Toni Knows got her third win in six starts. She paid $17.20 to win. The time was 1:23.60 for the seven furlongs.
In contrast, King Kreesa set the pace in the Spectacular Bid, beating Western Tryst by five lengths for his second win in four starts. Irad Ortiz Jr., was aboard for trainer Jeremiah Englehart on the 7-2 second choice who paid $9.60 to win. King Kreesa was clocked in 1:22.54 for the same distance.
