Donner Wasser wins Hollywood Park feature
May 26, 2012INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) - Donner Wasser rallied in the middle of the track to beat Elana Mar by half-length and win the $54,700 feature Friday night at Betfair Hollywood Park.
Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Donner Wasser ran a mile on the turf in 1:36.48 and paid $15.60, $6.40 and $3.20.
Elana Mar returned $5.20 and $3.40, while Unusual Hottie was another nose back in third and paid $2.60 to show as the 2-1 favorite. Unusual Hottie has never finished worse than third in four races on the turf.
Donner Wasser has three wins in 13 career starts and earnings of $120,404.
Bejarano rode one other winner on the card and leads the jockeys' standings with 22 victories.
