Reneesgotzip wins Betfair Hollywood Park feature
May 4, 2012INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) - Heavy favorite Reneesgotzip led all the way in a 2 1/4-length victory Friday in the $57,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares at Betfair Hollywood Park.
Dropping in class and distance after a pair of second-place performances in Grade 1 stakes at Santa Anita, Reneesgotzip - ridden by apprentice Eswan Flores - went straight to the lead and never yielded, covering 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:16.66 and going to 3-for-3 in sprint races.
Reneesgotzip paid $3.40, $2.40 and $2.10, Glamorista returned $2.80 and $2.10, and Spectacular Sky paid $2.10 to show.
Trained by Peter Miller for owner the Lanni Family Trust, Reneesgotzip earned $34,200 for her first victory against older horses. She has won three times in five lifetime starts and earned $261,200.
