Unstoppable U takes the Belmont feature
April 27, 2012NEW YORK (AP) - Unstoppable U improved to 2 for 2, beating Guyana Star Dweej by 61/4 lengths on Friday in the $77,000 opening-day allowance feature for 3-year-olds at Belmont Park.
The gray colt trained by Ken McPeak and ridden by Junior Alvarado followed up a 23/4-length debut victory at Aqueduct last month with another decisive win. The time was 1:37.23 for the one mile on the fast track.
Unstoppable U paid $4.70, $2.80 and $2.40 as the 6-5 favorite. Guyana Star Dweej returned $3 and $2.20 while Forward March paid $2.90 to show.
