INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) - American Act defeated Senor Rain by a nose to win the $72,350 Harry Henson Stakes on Thursday, the opening day of Betfair Hollywood Park's Spring/Summer meet.

Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, American Act covered 6 furlongs in 1:11.00 and paid $4, $2.60 and $2.10.

Senor Rain returned $4 and $2.80, while Consulado paid $2.80 to show.

The victory increased American Act's career earnings to $116,360, with two wins in six starts for Howard and Janet Siegel Racing LLC and trainer Jack Carava.
