LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The solid gold trophy that will be given to the owner of this year's Kentucky Derby winner is arriving at Churchill Downs on Thursday.

The 14-karat gold trophy is created every year by New England Sterling of Attleboro, Mass., and company President Marc Forbes will be at the track when the trophy is unveiled along with three smaller, sterling silver replica trophies that go to the winning trainer, jockey and breeder.

The gold trophy is 22 inches tall, has a 14-karat gold horse and rider atop it and horseshoe-shaped wreath handles and stands on a jade base.

The 138th Kentucky Derby is set for May 5.
