ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) - Creative Cause is the 6-5 early favorite for the $750,000 Santa Anita Derby, the West's major prep for the Kentucky Derby.

The gray colt will break from the No. 1 post under Joel Rosario in the field of 10 for Saturday's 1 1-8-mile race at Santa Anita.

Trainer Bob Baffert, recovering from a heart attack he had last week in Dubai, entered three horses Wednesday as he tries to win his seventh Santa Anita Derby and third in the last four years. He saddled last year's winner Midnight Interlude.

Liaison appears to be Baffert's best chance at 8-1 odds. The colt, which drew the No. 2 post, was fourth in the San Felipe Stakes.
