Game On Dude gets poor draw for Dubai World Cup
March 28, 2012DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) - American entry Game On Dude was given a poor draw for Saturday's $10 million Dubai World Cup, getting the outside stall in the 14-horse race.
Aidan O'Brien's So You Think strengthened his status as the favorite after Wednesday's draw, when he received a much better position at stall No. 4.
Game On Dude's trainer Bob Baffert had a heart attack in Dubai this week, but has been moved out of intensive care and is recovering well.
The Dubai World Cup is the world's richest race, and the international field includes three strong entries from Japan.
The field from rail out is Master of Hounds, Eishin Flash, Zazou, So You Think, Smart Falcon, Planteur, Royal Delta, Monterosso, Silver Pond, Transcend, Capponi, Prince Bishop, Mendip, Game On Dude.
The nine-race World Cup card features 123-horses with a total purse of $27.25 million.
