Indian Burn wins the Big A feature
March 1, 2012NEW YORK (AP) - Indian Burn pulled off an 11-1 upset, beating Twice the Lady by 2 3-4 lengths on Thursday in the $69,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.
Apprentice jockey Jose Rodriguez was aboard as the 5-year-old trained by John Hertler led all the way in the mud for her third win in 24 starts. The time was 1:45.18 for the one mile, 70 yards.
Indian Burn paid $24.20, $6.80 and $4.70. Twice the Lady returned $3 and $2.50, while Lemon Tiger paid $4 to show.
