ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) - Chosen Miracle defeated El Mirage King by 1 1-2 lengths to win the $62,130 Ventura Highway Purse at Santa Anita on Friday.

Ridden by Joe Talamo, Chosen Miracle ran 6 1-2 furlongs on the hillside turf course in 1:12.19 and paid $5, $3.20 and $2.80 as the 3-2 favorite.

El Mirage King returned $5.20 and $4, while Details R Sketchy was another 1 3-4 lengths back in third and paid $3.80 to show.

The victory, worth $36,000, increased Chosen Miracle's career earnings to $104,144, with three wins in seven starts.
