Superior Sarah takes the Big A feature
February 16, 2012NEW YORK (AP) - Superior Sarah, the 3-5 favorite, beat Bailzee by 6 1-4 lengths on Thursday in the $54,000 allowance feature for New York bred fillies and mares at Aqueduct.
Wearing vision-restricting blinkers for the first time, Superior Sarah improved to 3 for 9 with the most decisive win of her career. The 4-year-old trained by Tom Albertrani and ridden by Cornelio Velasquez ran the six furlongs in 1:12.57, paying $3.40, $2.20 and $2.10.
Bailzee returned $3.40 and $2.80, while Life's Measure paid $3.90 to show.
