King and Crusader wins Big A's Winkfield Stakes
January 16, 2012NEW YORK (AP) - King and Crusader rallied to beat Reserved Quality by three-quarters of a length on Monday, giving trainer Rick Dutrow a 1-2 finish in the $75,000 Jimmy Winkfield Stakes for 3-year-olds at Aqueduct.
The colts ran as separate betting interests.
Cornelio Velasquez was aboard as King and Crusader got his third win in seven starts. The time was 1:11.72 over the fast track as the winner paid $9.90, $4.60 and $3.40.
Reserved Quality returned $6.70 and $3.80 while Deliburnsky paid $2.80 to show.
