Tiz the Argument and San Pablo win Big A stakes
December 18, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Tiz the Argument and San Pablo scored convincing wins as the favorites in a pair of $60,000 stakes for 3-year-olds on Sunday at Aqueduct.
Tiz the Argument beat Withgreatpleasure by 7 3/4 lengths in the Let Me Linger for fillies. She paid $5.10 to win with Ryan Curatolo aboard for trainer Rick Dutrow. The time was 1:41.35 over a mile and 70 yards.
San Pablo drew away by three lengths over Norman Asbjornson in the four-horse Flying Chevron. The colt trained by Todd Pletcher and ridden by Cornelio Velasquez ran the same distance in 1:41.37, paying $3.30 to win.
