Red's Round Table wins the Big A's Tate Stakes
December 16, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Red's Round Table, the 4-5 favorite, rolled to a 6 1/2-length win over Nicole's Miss El on Friday in the $58,800 Tate Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Aqueduct.
Red's Round Table improved to 7 for 8 for Maryland-based trainer Timothy Keefe. She suffered her lone defeat in the previous start, finishing second in an allowance race at Laurel following a nine-month layoff.
Ramon Dominguez was aboard as she ran the six furlongs in 1:11.89.
Red's Round Table paid $3.80, $2.90 and $2.10. Nicole's Miss El returned $5.50 and $3.80, while Joyous Music paid $3.80 to show.
