Speightscity wins Aqueduct feature
December 15, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Speightscity rallied three wide on the turn to beat Holiday Promise by 13/4 lengths on Thursday in the $53,000 allowance feature for 2-year-olds at Aqueduct.
David Cohen rode for trainer Gary Contessa as Speightscity got his second win in five starts. The time was 1:44.65 for the one mile, 70 yards.
Speightscity paid $5.60, $3.50 and $2.90. Holiday Promise returned $8.70 and $4.90 while Festive Spirit paid $3 to show.
