Swag Daddy wins the Big A's Damon Runyon Stakes
December 4, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Swag Daddy, the 8-5 favorite, rallied from last to beat Pretension by a head on Sunday in the $65,000 Damon Runyon Stakes for New York-bred 2-year-olds at Aqueduct.
Junior Alvarado rode for trainer Rick Dutrow as the colt posted his second win in five starts. The time was 1:43.90 for the one mile, 70 yards on the fast track.
Swag Daddy paid $5.50, $4 and $3.60. Pretension returned $9 and $8.80 while Disco On paid $9.10 to show.
