INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) - Miss Sea Cup beat 3-2 favorite La Sombre by a half-length Thursday in her turf debut in the $49,050 feature for California-bred fillies and mares at Hollywood Park.

Ridden by David Flores, Miss Sea Cup ran six furlongs in 1:10.38 and paid $11.40, $4.80 and $3.20. It was her second win in three career starts and increased her earnings to $73,800.

La Sombre returned $3 and $2.80, and Cactus Flyer paid $4 to show.

David Flores and Daniel Sandoval escaped serious injury when they were unseated in a spill in the fourth race.

Sandoval was unseated when his mount Red Mountain sustained an injury to his left front leg. Flores and Sharp Upbeat were unable to avoid Red Mountain, sending Flores to the ground. Both riders walked off.
