Racing Aptitude wins Hollywood Park feature
November 12, 2011INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) - Racing Aptitude, the longest shot in the field at 16-1, led almost all the way to win the $80,650 Yo Eleven Stakes on Friday night at Hollywood Park, giving Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert a 1-2 finish.
Ridden by Martin Garcia, Racing Aptitude won by 4 1/4 lengths, running 7 1/2 furlongs on the synthetic Cushion Track in 1:28.72 and paying $35.20, $12.20 and $4.40.
Tweebster, the 6-5 favorite trained by Baffert, returned $2.80 and $2.20, while El Gato Malo was another half-length back in third and paid $2.80 to show.
Racing Aptitude has three wins in 11 career starts and earnings of $143,850.
Jockey Joe Talamo rode three winners on the card.
