Boisterous wins Aqueduct's Red Smith Handicap
November 5, 2011NEW YORK (AP) - Boisterous rallied for a two-length victory over Bold Hawk in the $150,000 Red Smith Handicap on Saturday at Aqueduct.
A 4-year-old trained by Shug McGaughey, Boisterous won for the sixth time in 14 starts. Alan Garcia was aboard as Boisterous ran the 1 3-8 miles in 2:20.26 over the turf course rated good.
Boisterous paid $6, $3.40 and $3. Bold Hawk returned $4.80 and $3.10, while Harrods Creek paid $4.90 to show.
