Pincelada wins Santa Anita feature
October 28, 2011ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) - Pincelada won for the first time in 18 months Friday, defeating Evita's Sister by 4 1-2 lengths in the $49,980 feature for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Joe Talamo, Pincelada ran seven furlongs in 1:22.39 and paid $6.20 and $4.20 in her switch to dirt after four races on the turf.
Evita's Sister returned $3.80. Miss Silver Brook was another 1 1-4 lengths back in third as the 13-10 favorite. There was no show wagering because of the four-horse field.
The victory, worth $30,600, increased Pincelada's career earnings to $132,980, with three wins in 16 starts.
