Back Pocket Money win Monmouth Park feature
October 8, 2011OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) - Back Pocket Money drew off in the stretch to win the $45,000 allowance feature at Monmouth Park on Saturday, beating Jersey Storm Cat by three lengths.
Ridden by Felix Ortiz and trained by Juan Serey, the 5-year-old gelding ran the six furlongs over a good track in 1:10 1/5 and returned $10.20, $4.80 and $3.40. The win was the third this year for Back Pocket Money, who took the lead shortly after the 10-horse field left the gate.
Jersey Storm Cat paid $4.60 and $3, while Taylors Tough was another 4 1/2 lengths back in third and returned $4.20.
