Hunt Crossing, My Due Process win in NATC Futurity
September 24, 2011OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) - Hunt Crossing and My Due Process scored easy wins in their divisions of the $150,000 NATC Futurity for 2-year-old horses at Monmouth Park on Saturday.
In the colts division, Hunt Crossing drew off in the stretch to beat Dangerous Trick by three lengths. Ridden by Elvis Trujillo and trained by Todd Pletcher, Hunt Crossing covered the six furlongs on a muddy track in 1:11 to win for the second time in three starts.
My Due Process scored a wire-to-wire win in the fillies division, beating the favored Singlet by 1 1/2 lengths. Trained by Dale Romans and ridden by Manoel Cruz, My Due Process ran the six furlongs on a muddy track in 1:11 1/5 to win for the second time in six starts.
