LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Keeneland wasted no time selling a million-dollar horse during the second session of its September Yearling Sale.

A filly by Unbridled's Song sold for $1 million to Mandy Pope of Whisper Hill Farm. Out of the mare Silvery Swan, she is a half-sister to two Grade I winners, Roman Ruler and El Corredor.

The gray filly was just the eighth horse through the ring Monday and the highest priced filly to sell so far. Two colts, one for $1.4 million and another for $1.2 million, reached the seven-figure mark in the opening session Sunday.

The 68th annual September Yearling Sale, held over 13 days, is the world's largest thoroughbred auction. More than 4,300 yearlings are cataloged this year. The select portion of the sale concludes Monday night.
