DONCASTER, England (AP) - Masked Marvel moved into the lead with about a quarter-mile to go and easily won the St. Leger at Doncaster Racecourse.

The win on Saturday gave trainer John Gosden and jockey William Buick back-to-back victories in the fifth and final classic of the British falt-racing season. Last year, Arctic Cosmos won the race.

Seville took the early lead with 15-2 choice Masked Marvel racing comfortably back in the pack before taking charge and beating Brown Panther by three lengths.

Brown Panther is owned by Manchester United striker Michael Owen.

The 2-1 favorite Sea Moon was third.
