DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) - Mighty Caroline defeated River Kiss by 11/4 lengths to win the $150,000 Sorrento Stakes for two-year-old fillies on Friday at Del Mar.
Ridden by Joel Rosario, Mighty Caroline covered 61/2 furlongs on Polytrack in 1:16.75 and paid $10, $5.20 and $3.60.
River Kiss returned $8.80 and $4.40, while Heleonor Rugby paid $3.60 to show.
Mighty Caroline earned $90,000 with her second win in three starts.
