YONKERS, N.Y. (AP) - Jody Jamieson of Canada was the winner of the World Driving Championship at Yonkers Raceway on Friday, besting a field of nine other drivers from around the world.

It was the second championship for Jamieson, who also won in 2001.

The tournament began July 31 at Harrah's Chester outside Philadelphia, moved to Tioga Downs and Monticello Raceway in New York, as well as The Meadowlands in New Jersey, before the concluding card at Yonkers.

Jamieson beat Corey Callahan, representing the US and Juan Antonio Riera-Rossello of Spain, who was third.

``All of us in harness racing, we have extreme high and extreme lows and I've experienced that to the max this week,'' said Jamieson, who had five winners in the last two legs of the tournament. ``I got so lucky to get good horses and I can't tell you how pumped I am to be the World Driving Champion. I couldn't be prouder.''
