DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) - Bourbon Bay pulled away in the stretch to win Friday's $125,000 Cougar II Handicap by 23/4 lengths and set a track record at Del Mar.

Ridden by Joe Talamo, Bourbon Bay ran 11/2 miles on the synthetic Polytrack surface in 2:29.39, bettering the old mark of 2:30.46 set by Temple City in last year's race.
