INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) - Excellent News delivered a 11/2-length victory in the $65,780 feature at Hollywood Park on Friday night.

Ridden by Joel Rosario, Excellent News ran seven furlongs on the synthetic surface in 1:23.55 and paid $4.40 and $2.60 as the 6-5 favorite for trainer Bob Baffert.

Fashion Trend returned $3.80. Dowhill Diva was another 11/4 lengths back in third. There was no show wagering because of the four-horse field.

Excellent News has four wins in 14 career starts and earnings of $216,844.

Rosario rode three winners on the card, tying him with Rafael Bejarano for the lead in the jockeys' standings.
